Chris Brunskill is a UK based wildlife photographer and tour guide. His photographic career began as a teenager, travelling with his first SLR camera across the Great Rift Valley in East Africa. In a six-week trip he experienced the beauty of some of the continent's most inspiring natural wonders such as the Ruwenzori Mountains in Uganda, the Virunga Volcanoes in Zaire and the famed Serengeti Plains in Tanzania.
Upon returning to the UK he studied photography at college before his travels took him to India and to Ranthambhore National Park in Rajasthan, with a dream to photograph wild tigers in one of the world’s truly magical places. And photograph them he did, and has done repeatedly for over a decade, compiling what is considered by many to be the finest collection of wild tiger images by a single photographer in existence.
Part of his year is now spent sharing the secrets of Ranthambhore and other wilderness areas with photographic enthusiasts in his role as an exclusive tour guide.
Chris is the author of Tiger Forest – A Visual Study of Ranthambhore National Park and he has contributed both images and words to many books and articles about tigers and other species. His work has also been widely published in some of the world's finest natural history magazines including National Geographic, BBC Wildlife, Geo and Wildlife Conservation.
